Removal

To Remove
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2 Remove the right-hand front wheel.
3 Remove the wing liners on the right-hand side.
4 Remove the multigroove belt from the generator and hydraulic pump by pulling on the belt and installation a hydraulic belt tensioner, part No. 83 94 488.
5 Remove the hydraulic pump from the bracket.
6 Remove the hydraulic pump bracket.
7 Undo the generator's upper retaining bolt.
8 Disconnect the generator's electrical connections and pull the generator forward.

To Install
1 Connect the leads to the generator and place it in the engine bay.
2 Install the hydraulic pump bracket.
3 Insert the upper bolt loosely in the generator and tit the generator on the bracket.
4 Install the hydraulic pump.
5 Install the multigroove belt.
6 Install the wing liners and wheel.
7 Connect the battery.
