Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Checking the Power Supply

1 Connect a BOB and check the power supply for the Cruise Control system control module by measuring the voltage across pin F (6) of the control module and a good ground (e.g. a door hinge bolt).
The voltage should be 12 V.
2 If the voltage is not 12 V, switch off the ignition and check the wiring for continuity or a short circuit by measuring the resistance across pin F (6) of the control module and the load side of the fuse.
The resistance should be <=1 ohm.
3 If no fault can be found after carrying out the above checks.
