Oil Charge

New compressors are pre-charged with the proper amount of lubricant needed for the entire refrigerant system. If a new compressor is installed and no additional oil has been lost from the system, drain 4.4 ounces from new compressor.
When servicing A/C system, add refrigerant oil as follows: purging refrigerant, .67 ounce, burst A/C hose, 1.35 ounces, A/C hose replacement, .67 ounce, condenser, 1.35 ounces, evaporator, 1.35 ounces, receiver-drier, 1.35 ounces, expansion valve, .67 ounce.
