It is important to check and look after the batter regularly, since its ability to start the engine depends on its state of charge.
This is particularly important in winter when the load on the starter motor is greater and battery capacity is reduced by low temperatures. This calls for a battery in good condition.

In very cold weather, the electrolyte in a poorly charged battery can freeze and damage it.

The level of the electrolyte in the car battery should be checked at regular intervals.
