Start fault diagnosis by checking:
1 The fuses, see Checking the Fuses Checking the Fuses
2 The ignition system, see Checking Power Supply Checking the Power Supply
3 Grounding, se Checking Control Module Grounding. Checking Control Module Grounding
4 The pin sockets in the female connector on the control module for possible displacement.

Fault diagnosis is to be carried out in the self- diagnosis mode. To assume the self-diagnosis mode, see tables.

To leave the self-diagnosis mode, increase speed to more than 32 km/h (20 mph) or switch off the ignition.

If you happen to make a mistake while in the self diagnosis mode, you will be returned automatically to point 5 and will have to start afresh from there.
