Door Open

The Integrated Central Electronics (ICE) module uses the information that a door is open or closed to activate various functions such as "Follow me home", interior lighting, electrically adjustable front seats and the ignition key warning.

The ICE module passes on this information to the anti-theft alarm control module and the main instrument display panel where the indicator lamp lights up.

The indicator lamp is supplied with power in the main instrument display panel and when a door is opened the ICE module grounds pin 31, causing the lamp to light up.

When the driver's door is opened, ICE module pin 44 is grounded.

Opening any passenger door causes ICE module pin 67 to be grounded.

Since the passenger doors are connected in parallel, the ICE module can only tell that a door is open but not which one.
