Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Speed Signal

1 Raise the front LH wheel. Spin the wheel at a speed of about halt a revolution per second.
The frequency should be about 15 Hz on pin K (10) of the Cruise Control's connector.

2 If no signal is present, connect a BOB with cables to the wiring of the ABS control module.
Check the wiring for continuity or a short circuit by measuring the resistance across pin K (10) of the Cruise Control connector and pin 17 of the ABS control module connector.
If the resistance is > 1 ohm, remedy the fault.
If the resistance is <=1 ohm, continue fault diagnosis with ABS anti-lock brakes.
