Action 2: Adjusting Gear Position





1. Detach the cover beside the gear selector lever (see item 1, Figure 4).

2. Move the gear selector to position 1. Lift the front edge of the indicator plate (see item 2, Figure 4) and move the lever to R.

3. Using a 10 mm socket, loosen the nut securing the selector cable (see item 3, Figure 4).

4. Check that the selector is in R and tighten the nut.

Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.).

5. Feel the gear selector to ensure that the amount of play is the same in both N and D and that all gear positions can be engaged. If not, repeat steps 3 and 4.

6. Move the selector to position 1 and refit the indicator plate. Press down the cover beside the gear selector lever.
