Manual Transaxle

NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.





Disassembly
1. Remove gear lever housing.
2. Remove the locking plate holder.
3. Remove the spring that secures the locking plate.
4. Use a screwdriver to click up the rider which is controlled from the ignition lock.
- Lift up the locking plate and its plastic fastener.
5. Remove the ignition lock switch.
6. Remove the ignition lock.





Assembly
1. Install the ignition lock.
2. Install the ignition lock switch.
3. Insert the locking plate.
- Check that the locking plate's two bearings (rubber bushing and hat) in the housing are in place.
4. Clip the ignition lock's rider into the locking plate.
5. Install the locking plate holder.
- The screws which secure the locking plate holder should be covered with thread locking fluid.
6. Install the locking plate spring.
7. Adjust the position of the locking plate with the screw on the locking plate holder, so that the locking plate is on a level with the heel in the gear lever housing.

NOTE: The stop may not touch the locking plate during the adjustment.

8. Install the gear lever housing.
