Voltage Drop In Circuit

1. Connect voltmeter across the following:
a. Positive battery terminal and terminal 30 on starter motor.
b. Positive battery terminal and terminal 50 on starter motor (voltage in starting position only).
c. Negative battery terminal and starter motor casing.
2. Start engine and read off voltmeter. Reading should not exceed 0.2-0.3 volts.
3. If circuit shows higher reading it should be checked to determine reason for excessive voltage drop.
