Checking Control Module's Sensor Input












- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Connect BOB (Break Out Box) between CRUISE control module and CRUISE control module female connector.

















- Connect test lamp 86 11 857 to pin 4 of BOB and a good grounding point.












- The test lamp should go on with selector lever in positions D, 1, 2 and 3.







- The test lamp should NOT go on with selector lever in positions P, R and N.

Checking the Wiring Harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Check Brake Pedal Switch Power Supply

YES - Final Check
