Checking the Power Supply For the Brake Lights Switch

















- Connect a test lamp to pin 2 of the female connector and a good grounding point.












- The test lamp should go on with selector lever in positions D, 1, 2 and 3.







- The test lamp should NOT go on with selector lever in positions P, R and N.

Checking the Wiring Harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Check Pedal Switch and Gear Position Sensor - II

YES - Check Brake Pedal Switch
