Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

Control module

To remove

1. Turn off the ignition.







2. Remove the glove box.







3. Fold back the carpet.
4. Unplug the connector and remove the screw securing the control module. Remove the control module.


IMPORTANT
ESD-SENSITIVE COMPONENT

Ground yourself by touching the car body or engine before unplugging or plugging in the component. Never touch the connector pins. Prior to changing a control module, Before Changing A Control Module.


To fit







1. Fit the control module, one screw.
2. Plug in the connector
3. Make sure the engine can be started.
4. Replace the carpet.







5. Fit the glove box.
6. Reset the immobilizer in the following way:
- Connect Tech2 and turn the ignition to ON
- Select Body and TWICE
- Select Immobilizing. The immobilizer will be programmed after about 10 seconds.
