The steering column lock unit (SCL) cannot be added using Tech2

The SCL (Steering Column Lock) cannot be added using Tech2 when diagnostic trouble code B3948:00 is stored in the CIM. In order to be able to add the SCL, the diagnostic trouble code in the CIM must first be cleared.

Symptom description

The SCL cannot be added using Tech2 when diagnostic trouble code B3948:00 is stored in the CIM.

Procedure

When fitting a new steering column lock unit (SCL), clear all diagnostic trouble codes before "Add" SCL is carried out using Tech2.
