STC - fault symptom

1. STC - Soft top inoperable

Cars affected:
Saab 9-3 (9440) CV up to VIN 56011392

Background:

If the driver attempts to operate the soft top with the remote control while the boot lid is open, a fault could occur that could make soft top operation impossible. Functionality is restored after locking the car and waiting 3 minutes.

Procedure:

Update STC software using TIS2000 ed. 2004-6 update 3 or later.

Note:
New STC software introduced as of VIN 56011393.
