Air Injection Control Valve: Service and Repair

Secondary Air Injection Valve, Front

To Remove
1. Remove Turbocharger, B284.
2. Remove the bolts and nuts of the heat shield.





3. Lift away the heat shield.
4. Remove the valve bolts.





5. Release the quick coupling of the intake manifold.
6. Lift away the valve.

To Fit
1. Fit the valve using a new gasket.





2. Fit the quick coupling to the intake manifold.
3. Fit the valve bolts.
4. Make sure that the spacer is in place. Fit the heat shield.





5. Fit the bolts and nuts of the heat shield.

Tightening torque, catalytic converter mounting, M10: 42 Nm (31 ft. lbs.)

6. Fit Turbocharger, B284.
