Radiator Hose: Service and Repair

Upper radiator hose

To remove

Warning
The cooling system is under pressure. Hot coolant and steam can escape.
^ Open the cap slowly to release the pressure.
^ Carelessness can cause eye and burn injuries


1. Undo the expansion tank cap and release the pressure.





2. Remove the upper engine cover.
3. Remove the Spoiler shield, front.
4. Place a receptacle under the car, connect a hose and drain the cooling system.





5. Remove the hose's clamps.





6. Remove the radiator hose.

To fit
1. Position the radiator hose.





2. Fit the radiator hose clamps.
Pressure test the cooling system.
3. Replace the upper engine cover.





4. Fit the Spoiler shield, front.
5. Fill with coolant to approx. 20 mm above the mark on the expansion tank.
