Fault symptoms
When operating with E85 fuel, under certain circumstances a small build-up of contaminants could take place on the injectors which in turn could cause cold start and driveability problems. In the case of customer complaint, with cold start and driveability problems in outside temperatures above -10 degrees C, action in accordance with the below is recommended. In outside temperatures below -10 degrees C the cold start and driveability problems could be due to summer grade E85.

Conditions
The contaminants could arise of the car is driven on only E85 for a longer time (> 15 000 km).

Diagnostic procedure
The contaminants are dissolved by refuelling with a full tank of pure petrol, and they disappear after 200 - 400 km.
