Headlamp Alignment Control Module: Service and Repair

Headlamp/AHL Control Module, Changing

WARNING:
^ HIGH TENSION
The headlamp/AHL control module and xenon headlamp ignition transformer generate a voltage in excess of 23000 V. This voltage can be lethal to individuals with a weak heart or pacemaker. Treat this system with great respect and turn off the ignition before working on the system's components.
^ Read through Safety and handling instructions, headlamps with xenon bulbs before starting.

IMPORTANT:
ESD-SENSITIVE COMPONENT
Earth yourself by touching the car body before plugging in/unplugging components. Do not touch the component pins. Read Before changing a control module before changing a control module.

To remove
1. Remove the headlamp.
2. Unscrew the control module.







3. Unplug the connector and lift up the control module.







To fit

NOTE: Check the seal between the headlamp housing and the control module. Change if necessary.

1. Plug in the control module.







2. Fit the control module into the headlamp.







3. Fit the headlamp.
4. Perform spare parts programming with Tech 2. Refer to Headlamp/AHL control module, spare parts programming.
