Manual Gearbox Lubricant

A new gearbox oil, Saab MTF 0063 Synthetic, which improves shifting properties has been introduced into production as of 1 January 2002.

New (Original Equipment) Gearboxes
For gearboxes up to and including no. V35478, use gearbox oil (40) 400 108 247.
From gearbox no. V35479, use gearbox oil MTF0063 (40) 400 132 213.

Replacement Gearboxes
For unmarked gearboxes, use gearbox oil (40) 400 408 247.
For gearboxes marked with label "MTF0063", use gearbox oil MTF0063 (40) 400 132 213.

Synthetic Fluid Originally Installed In The Following Vehicles
9-3 with petrol engine B205R/B205L: from VIN 22023982 and 27007452, respectively
9-3 with petrol engine B205E: from VIN 22023962 and 27007674, respectively
9-3 with petrol engine B235R: from VIN 27008929
