Generator Not Charging

Fault symptom
The generator is not charging.

To check
Make sure that:









^ the battery cables are tightened firmly to the terminals and that they have not oxidized;
^ the battery connections to the car are tight and that there is no oxide or corrosion causing poor contact;
^ the generator connections are correctly tightened and that contact has not been affected by oxide or corrosion;
^ the generator belt is in good condition and correctly tensioned.
^ the generator belt pulley is correctly fastened.
