Body Control Module: Service and Repair

Body Control Module (BCM) (707)

Only applies to SE, GB and DE markets: Before replacing a control module the normal fault diagnosis in accordance with WIS must be carried out, and the Checklist for replacement of control module, BCM must have been worked through.

To remove
1. Carry out procedures before removing a control module.
2. Remove the lower section of the dashboard





IMPORTANT: Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins.

3. Unplug the control module connector.





4. Remove the control module by pressing in the 4 snap fasteners.

To fit
1. Fit the control module.





IMPORTANT: Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector.

2. Plug in the connector.
3. Fit the lower section of the dashboard





4. If the control module has been replaced: Carry out procedures after changing a control module.
