"Activate" menu

Activate functions should always be used with discretion. Always deactivate an activated function before you go any further in the Tech 2 menu. Always delete any diagnostic trouble codes in the ESP unit or any other system once work is complete.

Note
When a system function is activated with the diagnostics tool, the control module executes a command which is not normal from a functional point of view. In activation mode the diagnostics tool checks the control module and the activation command should therefore be used with discrimination. An activated function will always be reset when you exit the activation mode and select a different diagnostics tool menu.
