Cooling System: Service and Repair

Filling and bleeding the cooling system

Note
A/C or ACC must be OFF.

1. Fill the system to MAX with Saab genuine coolant, part no. 400 131 389 (1 liter), 400 131 397 (4 liters), and close the expansion tank lid. (Mix the coolant with equal parts coolant and water.)
2. Start the engine and run it unloaded at varying speeds until the radiator fan starts.
3. Switch off the engine and top up as necessary to the MAX level.
4. Raise the car and check for any fluid leaks.
