Component Testing

CARGO LAMP SWITCH

Location:
The switch is part of the trunk latch assembly (not serviced separately).

Repair:
Check for damaged or corroded terminals or connectors. Check terminals for tightness.

Check resistance through the switch.

Switch resistance: OPEN when trunk closed. Less than one ohm when trunk open.

Check circuits for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.

CARGO LAMP

Repair:
Check for damaged or corroded terminals or connectors. Check terminals for tightness.

Check voltage through the bulb socket.

Repair as needed.
