Component Testing

CHIME/DELAYED DOME LAMP MODULE
The module plugs into the back of the I/P junction block. Remove access panel on driver's side of I/P junction block.

1. Check the condition of the pins on the chime module and the junction block.

2. Straighten any bent pins.

3. The chime module is not repairable. If the other components of the system operate normally install a new chime module. If the problem is corrected, re-install the old chime module to verify the problem is in the chime module.


DRIVER'S DOOR JAMB SWITCH
1. Check switch resistance. Resistance should be infinite with door closed, less than one ohm with door open.

2. Repair as needed.

KEY MINDER SWITCH (INSIDE IGNITION SWITCH)
1. Check switch resistance - Cavity B (Blue Connector) to Cavity C (Gray Connector). Resistance should be infinite with KEY OUT, less than one ohm with KEY IN, once key has been turned to ACC.

2. Repair as needed.
