How to Disable Trunk Key Release Mechanism
1.
Open the trunk lid.
2.
Use a screwdriver or your fingers to disengage the yellow clip from the lock rod.
3.
Using a screwdriver, pry the latch cover off.
4.
Remove the lock rod and dispose of it and push the latch cover back into place.
