Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Air Induction Tubes:




Turbine (Transmission) Speed Sensor:






REMOVAL

1. Remove air induction system from the batten tray, and move aside to gain access to sensor.


2. Disconnect electrical connector from turbine sensor and remove sensor.


IMPORTANT Inspect O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.


INSTALLATION

1. Install turbine sensor.


Torque: 26 Nm (19 ft lbs)


NOTICE: Clean and lubricate fastener with ATF (DEXRON-II or DEXRON-III). Wipe off excess fluid and install.

2. Connect electrical connector to sensor. Push in until a click is heard and pull back on connector to confirm positive engagement.

Torque: 10 Nm (89 in lbs)


3. Install air induction system and tighten clamps.


Torque: 2 Nm (18 in lbs)


4. Check transaxle fluid level.
