System Activation

SYSTEM ACTIVATION
If the radio is in the VULNERABLE state, while security input mode (display shows - - - -") the user may activate the system using the following procedure:
1. The user enters a four-digit code of his choice.
2. The system asks for verification - displays "rEP" for five seconds.
3. The user reenters his code.
4. If the two codes match, the radio goes to the SECURE state.
5. If the two codes do not match, "ERR" is displayed for approximately five seconds, and the radio remains in the VULNERABLE state. The user can again attempt to enter a valid code.
