Pivot Assembly

REMOVAL

1. Remove outer door panel.
2. Disconnect rod swivel from latch. Compress pin at front of pivot and remove pivot and rod, unlatch rod retainer and remove rod from pivot.
3. Remove outside handle rod retaining clip at lock.

INSTALLATION

NOTICE: The rod retaining clips used in the door lock levers and door lock cylinder pawls are not re-useable. Retention characteristics are minimized once a rod is extracted. Clips must be replaced every time a rod is extracted.

1. Replace outside handle rod retaining clip at lock.
2. Install rod and swivel on pivot assembly.
3. Insert rear pin of pivot into door frame. Compress front pin and insert into door frame.
4. Adjust rod swivel to freely enter latch clip and snap into place.

IMPORTANT: Check for proper adjustment. There should be no tension on pivot or latch.

5. Install Outer door panel.
