Sunroof Microswitch and Locator

SUNROOF MICROSWITCH AND LOCATOR

REMOVAL

IMPORTANT: There are two locator blocks on a Saturn sunroof assembly. The left locator has no microswitch attached to it. The right locator has a microswitch attached to it. Both locators are covered in this procedure.

1. Remove locator screw and insert T-20 Torx driver or small phillips screwdriver onto locator screw hole. Disengage locator from guide by tilting screwdriver toward sunroof opening.

2. With locator disengaged, push it forward to remove.

3. If removing right locator, carefully pull wiring harness (which will cut through tear tape) far enough to expose wire connector. Disconnect wire connector and remove right locator.

INSTALLATION

1. If installing right locator, connect wire connector and feed wire into microswitch opening. If installing left locator, proceed to step 2.

2. Install locator by engaging rear of locator with guide assembly and sliding locator toward rear of car to engage locator below screw at front. Once locator is seated properly, it should not slide or move in any direction.

3. Install locator screw.
