Before checking the ground circuit from the faulty component all the way to the ground stud, check the circuit from the splice pack to ground by testing some of the other subsystems grounded by the same splice pack. If the other subsystems function properly, it is most likely that the path from the splice pack to ground is good (or at least one of the paths is good with redundantly grounded splice packs).
I/P Splice Pack #1
Location: Taped to harness behind I/P cluster.
The systems grounded by I/P Splice Pack #1 are grounded redundantly with I/P Splice Pack #2 at ground point location D (I/P chassis ground). If one of the following systems is operating normally the ground circuit is most likely good.
^ Perf/Norm switch
^ I/P dimmer
^ Cruise module
^ Headlamp switch
^ Cigar lighter element
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
I/P Splice Pack #2
Location: Taped to harness behind I/P cluster.
The systems grounded by I/P Splice Pack #2 are grounded redundantly with I/P Splice Pack #1 at ground point location D (I/P chassis ground). If one of the following systems is operating normally the ground circuit is most likely good.
^ Fuel sensor
^ Park brake switch
^ Wiper motor
^ Radio
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
ABS/SIR Splice Pack
Location: Taped to harness behind I/P cluster
if the following system is operating normally, the fuse is most likely good:
^ Left and right front solenoids
^ Driver buckle switch
^ Sensing and diagnostic module (SDM)
^ ABS controller
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Replace as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Right Side Forward Lamp Splice Pack
Location: Behind right front headlamp.
The right side forward lamp splice pack provides a ground path for the right side forward lamp harness. If the following system is operating normally, the fuse is most likely good:
^ Coolant level switch
^ Washer pump
^ All right side forward lamps Check for OPENS/SHORTS. Replace as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit l5OZ
Location: Connects underhood junction block connector cavity E4 to left forward lamp ground ring terminal.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: The circuit provides ground for the fog lamp switch.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 150Y
Location: Connects forward lamp ground splice pack cavity K to right forward lamp ground ring terminal.
Type: Black 14 gage wire
Function: The circuit provides ground for the fog lamp switch.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit l5OP
Location: Connects left front park/turn lamp connector cavity C to underhood junction block connector cavity E5.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: The circuit provides ground for the left front park/turn lamp
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit i5OL
Location: Connects right front park/turn lamp connector cavity C to right forward lamp splice pack cavity C.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: The circuit provides ground for the right front park/turn lamp
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 350Z
Location: Connects I/P ground splice pack #2 cavity A to chassis ground ring terminal.
Type: Black 18 gage wire
Function: The circuit provides ground for the I/P ground splice pack #2.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 3SOY
Location: Connects I/P ground splice pack #1 cavity A to chassis ground ring terminal.
Type: Black 18 gage wire
Function: The circuit provides ground for the I/P ground splice pack #1.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 350G
Location: Connects headlamp switch component cavity C to I/P ground splice pack #1 cavity H.
Type: Black 20 gage wire
Function: The circuit provides ground for the headlamp switch.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.

Circuit 350S
Location: Connects park brake switch connector cavity C to I/P ground splice pack #2 cavity F
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: This circuit provides ground for the park brake switch.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 350K
Location: Connects I/P cluster connector cavity K to I/P ground splice pack #2 cavity C.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: This circuit provides ground for the DRL module.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 350AB
Location: Connects left DRL relay #1 cavity C1 to ABS/SIR splice pack cavity E.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: This circuit provides ground for the DRL relay #1.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 3SOAC
Location: Connects left DRL relay #2 cavity C4 to ABS/SIR splice pack cavity E.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: This circuit provides ground for the left DRL relay #2.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
Circuit 350AE
Location: Connects right DRL relay #2 cavity B3 to ABS/SIR splice pack cavity F.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: This circuit provides ground for the right DRL relay #2.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.

Circuit 350AF
Location: Connects right DRL relay #1 cavity C7 to ABS/SIR splice pack cavity F.
Type: Black 22 gage wire
Function: This circuit provides ground for the right DRL relay #1.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Location: Connects ABS/SIR splice pack cavity K to chassis ground ring terminal.
Type: Black 12 gage wire
Function: This circuit provides ground of the ABS/SIR splice pack.
