Horn Relay

The Window, RR Defog. Horn, Fog Lamp and A/C Control relays are interchangeable with each other.

Substitute another relay to see if the problem is fixed. Repair/replace as needed.

If this component is good go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.

SIR / Cruise / Turn Coil Assembly

Check resistance through coil assembly by measuring voltage at horn switch and rotating steering wheel.

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.

If this component is good go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.

Horn Switch (Contact Plates)

Check resistance through horn switch. The switch resistance should be less than 1 ohm when the horn pad is depressed and open when the horn pad is not depressed.

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair/replace as needed.

If this component is good go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.



Horn

Check resistance through the horn. Horn resistance should be 2 to 4 ohms.

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.
