Grounds


Before checking the ground circuit from the faulty component all the way to the ground stud, check the circuit from the splice pack to ground by testing some of the other subsystems grounded by the same splice pack. If the other subsystems function properly, it is most likely that the path from the splice pack to ground is good (or at least one of the paths is good with redundantly grounded splice packs).


Circuit 150Z

Location: Connects underhood junction block connector cavity E4 to left forward lamp ground ring terminal.

Type: Black 14 gage wire

Function: This circuit provides ground for the horn through the underhood junction block.

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.

If this component is good go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.

Circuit 150H

Location: Connects horn connector cavity A to underhood junction block cavity F6.

Type: Black 22 gage wire

Function: This circuit provides ground for the horn.

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.
