Before checking the ground circuit from the faulty component all the way to the ground stud, check the circuit from the splice pack to ground by testing some of the other subsystems grounded by the same splice pack. If the other subsystems function properly, it is most likely that the path from the splice pack to ground is good (or at least one of the paths is good with redundantly grounded splice packs).


Right Side Forward Lamp Splice Pack


Location: Behind right front headlamp.


The right side forward lamp splice pack provides a ground path for the right side forward lamp harness. If one of the following systems is operating normally, the ground circuit is most likely good.


^ Coolant level switch


^ Washer pump


^ All right side forward lamps Check for OPENS/SHORTS. Repair as needed.


If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.


Circuit 150G


Location: Connects left front marker lamp connector cavity B to underhood junction block connector cavity E5.


Type: Black 20 gage wire


Function: This circuit provides ground for the left front marker lamp.


Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.


If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.


Circuit 150F


Location: Connects left front park/turn lamp connector cavity G to underhood junction block connector cavity F4.


Type: Black 20 gage wire


Function: This circuit provides ground for the left front park/turn lamp.


Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.


If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.


Circuit 150C


Location: Connects right front park/turn lamp connector cavity G to forward lamp ground splice pack cavity B.


Type: Black 20 gage wire

Function: This circuit provides ground for the right front park/turn lamp.


Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.


If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.


Circuit 150B


Location: Connects right front marker lamp connector cavity B to forward lamp ground splice pack cavity A.


Type: Black 20 gage wire

Function: This circuit provides ground for the right front marker lamp.


Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.


If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.

Circuit 150A


Location: Connects underhood junction block connector cavity E6 to forward lamp ground splice pack cavity J.


Type: Black 14 gage wire


Function: This circuit provides ground for the left front park, turn, and marker lamps.


Check for OPENS/SHORTS.


Repair as needed.


If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.


Circuit 150Y


Location: Connects forward lamp splice pack connector cavity K to right forward tamp ground ring terminal.


Type: Black 14 gage wire


Function: This circuit provides ground for the forward lamp splice pack.


Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.
