Driver Warning/Information Indicators
The PCM controls three indicator lamps on each vehicle:
MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP
The Service Engine Soon Lamp (MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP) telltale informs the operator that there is a possible problem with the engine or transaxle control systems.
Hot Telltale Indicator:
HOT
The Hot telltale informs the operator that the engine coolant, or automatic transaxle fluid is approaching an overtemperature condition. The Hot telltale flashes for a low coolant warning.
Upshift Indicator (manual Transmission Only):
UPSHIFT
The Upshift indicator (manual transaxle only) informs the operator when to shift to the next highest gear for maximum fuel economy.
