REMOVAL

NOTE: The EVAP canister purge system vacuum lines can be replaced from underhood. The two EVAP canister lines can be replaced by removing only the washer bottle and not removing the inner wheel well. The EVAP canister fittings are difficult to inspect without wheel well removal.

1. Remove the right front tire/wheel assembly and inner wheel liner or windshield washer bottle for EVAP canister access.
2. Remove hose ends at EVAP canister, purge solenoid and from main bundle. Disconnect the pipes routed along the passenger's side frame rail and front of dash from clips. Remove the hoses and lines.

INSTALLATION

WARNING: Pinched, kinked, or damaged vapor lines must be replaced.

1. Install the hoses and pipes; route along the front of dash and frame rail.
2. Attach the two hose ends to the EVAP canister (fuel tank vapor feed, and vapor line) to purge solenoid. Make sure the lines are not kinked, bent or damaged during installation.

NOTE: Make sure the lines and hoses are properly routed prior to locking them in the clips.

3. Lock the lines in the clips.
4. Test drive the vehicle and ensure it performs satisfactorily. The vehicle's engine has to be warmed up to test the EVAP canister purge system.
