Cautions

CAUTIONS:

^ Failing to follow the following procedures could result in serious personal injury or property damage.

^ Always disconnect the negative battery (ground) lead when replacing components on a vehicle.

^ Remove rings, watches and all other jewelry

^ When working around the battery always shield your eyes. Avoid leaning over the battery if possible.

^ Do not allow battery fluid to contact eyes, skin, fabrics or printed surfaces; battery fluid is a corrosive acid. Flush any contacted area with water immediately and thoroughly, and get medical help

^ Be careful that metal tools or jumper cables do not contact the positive battery terminal (or metal in contact with terminal) and any other metal on the vehicle; a short could occur.

^ Do not expose a battery to open flames or sparks (including lit tobacco). Batteries produce a gas which is flammable and explosive.

^ Never wear loose or baggy clothing around moving machinery remove ties and any hanging jewelry and tie back long hair.
