Vehicle Ride (Trim) Height Specifications

1. Place vehicle on level surface.
2. If fuel tank is not full, the following weight must be added to the trunk to simulate a full tank:
a. 1/8 tank, add 70 lbs.
b. 1/4 tank, add 60 lbs.
c. 3/8 tank, add 50 lbs.
d. 1/2 tank, add 40 lbs.
e. 5/8 tank, add 30 lbs.
f. 3/4 tank, add 20 lbs.
g. 7/8 tank, add 10 lbs.
3. Bounce front and rear suspension to allow suspension to settle.
4. With front tire pressure of 30 psi and rear of 26 psi, measure vehicle ride height, Fig. 4.
5. Measure from front (A) or rear (B) of rocker flange, to locate vehicle height measuring points J (front rocker height) and K (rear rocker height).
6. A is 5.9 inch and B is 5.4 inch.
7. Measure vehicle height from level surface, to bottom horizontal surface of rocker panel. Do not measure from rocker/jacking flange
8. J should be 7.8-9.1 inch and K should be 7.9-9.4 inch.
9. On Coupe SC 1 models with aluminum wheels, J should be 8.2-9.1 inch and K should be 8.3--9.5 inch.
10. When measuring alignment angles, vehicle trim height must be accurate, if not, add or remove weight until height is correct.
