Splice Packs

Splice packs are used to replace conventional soldered and clipped splices. The splice pack consists of a row of males blades that standard, crimped-on, female terminals plug into. A plastic cover is then placed over the buss bar to retain it and electrically insulate the splice from surrounding cable. This concept improves the reliability of vehicle wiring splices.

Another type of splice pack used is called an insulation displacement connector (IDC) splice pack. The IDC uses only one metal part and a plastic cover.
