Actuator Operation

All gear actuators are turned off electrically to provide clutch apply.

The line pressure actuator is turned off electrically to provide maximum pressure boost or maximum line pressure. Normally the line actuator is pulse width modulated (PWM) to provide line pressure in a range between minimum and maximum line pressure.

The torque converter clutch (TCC) actuator works opposite of the gear actuators. When the actuator is turned Off electrically, the torque converter clutch (TCC) is turned Off.
