Oil Pump Output Test

Pressure Line Hook-ups For Testing:

OIL PUMP OUTPUT TEST
When checking a delayed shift condition, verify the oil pump has proper output with engine at idle. The following test should also be performed:
- Remove transaxle temperature sensor and install pressure gauge.
- Connect the portable diagnostic tool (PDT).
- Run engine to bring transaxle temperature above 70°C (158°P).
- Remove line pressure fuse (7.5 amp TRS LP) at the UHJB.
- Set parking brake.
- Engine at idle in D (Drive).
- Pressure should be greater than 1200 kPa (175 psi).
- If pressure is less than 1200 kPa (175 psi), check oil pump for damage.
