Gear Synchronizer Ring Inspection

1. Inspect teeth and frictional surfaces for wear and damage. Replace if necessary.

2. Install synchronizer ring to matching gear and rotate until it stops.

3. Measure clearance between synchronizer ring and gear in four places. Minimum blocking ring to gear clearance for all synchronizers is 0.020 inch.
