Miscellaneous

Excessive noise can be caused by over-torque of the wiper module fasteners. Over-torquing the fasteners sometimes causes the wiper bracket to contact the car sheet metal. Metal-to-metal contact provides a path for noise to propagate.

Inspect the grommets that separate the wiper module and car sheet metal to see if there is any metal-to-metal contact. If the grommet is torn replace it. If the grommet is compressed to tightly loosen the bolts to eliminate any metal-to-metal contact.

If this component is good go to the next item indicated on the "Complaint-Condition" chart.
