Stop Lamp Switch

The brake switch will set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for certain fault conditions. The Scan tool can be used to verify proper signals to the Powertrain Control Module/Transaxle Controller Module (PCM/TCM).
- Check brake switch connector for open, spread or corroded terminals.
- Test switch by checking continuity across terminal A of switch and terminal D of switch. Continuity should be present with brake off. Continuity should not be present with brake On. If damaged replace switch.
