Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open and support the hood.
2. Mark the position of the hood to the hinge by marking around the hood hinges with a grease pencil.
3. Remove the hood insulator, if required. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. With an assistant, lower the hood rod, and remove the hinge to hood bolts.
5. With an assistant, remove the hood.



Installation Procedure





1. With an assistant, position the hood to the marks at hinges.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. With an assistant install the hood bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

3. Install the hood insulator, if required. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Lower the hood slowly and check the fit. Adjust the hood if required. Refer to Hood Adjustment (Adjustments) .
