Oil Pump Assembly






1. Install pressure relief valve and pressure relief valve spring.
2. Install oil pump pressure relief valve plug.
- Torque: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
3. Lubricate drive and driven rotors with clean engine oil.

IMPORTANT: Align marks on drive and driven rotors.

4. Install drive and driven rotors into pump body.
5. Fill oil pump with petroleum jelly to prim oil pump.

NOTICE: Fill the oil pump cavities with petroleum jelly prior to installation. This will ensure that there is oil pressure immediately on initial start up and will prevent engine damage.





6. Lubricate drive and driven rotors with clean engine oil.
7. Install oil pump gear cover plate screws.
- Torque: 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.)
