Head Degas Hose

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove head degas hose from under hood fuse block (UHFB) clamps.





3. Remove head degas hose to surge tank clamp and remove hose from surge tank.





4. Remove head degas hose to head clamp and remove hose from head.





5. Open throttle cable/cruise cable vacuum line clamps.
6. Remove wiring harness to head degas pipe bracket clamp rosebud.
7. Remove head degas pipe bracket to head bolt.
8. Remove head degas hose/pipe assembly from head retaining clips.

INSTALLATION





1. Install and position head degas hose/pipe assembly to head and surge tank fitting.
2. Install head degas hose to surge tank clamp at 1 o'clock position.





3. Install head degas hose to head clamp so tangs face rear of vehicle.





4. Finger start head degas pipe assembly bracket to head bolt.
5. Install head degas pipe into retaining clips.
6. Support bracket to prevent turning and torque degas hose/pipe assembly to head bolt.
^ Torque: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
7. Install throttle cable/cruise cable/vacuum line in clamps.
8. Install wiring harness clamp rosebud to degas pipe bracket.





9. Install head degas hose into UHFB clamps.





10. Connect negative battery cable.
^ Torque: 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.)
