Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL




1. Turn ignition Off.
2. Disconnect electrical connector at the electronic ignition module.
3. Remove screws from EI module and remove.




4. Remove bolts from coil assembly and remove.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Verify the interconnect and connector seal are in place.

1. Apply dielectric lubricant to spark plug boots.
2. Install coil assembly and bolts to cam cover.

Torque: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)




3. Install EI module and screws.

Torque: 1.5 N.m (13 in-lbs)

4. Connect the electrical connector to the electronic ignition module.
