Wipers/Washers - Low Washer Solvent Flow From Nozzles

File in Section: 08 - Body and Accessories

Bulletin No.: 03-08-43-005

Issue Date: October, 2003

Subject:
Little or No Windshield Solvent Coming From Washer Nozzles
(Reposition the Inline Connector)

Models Affected:
2000-2003 Saturn L-Series Vehicles built prior to VIN Breakpoint 3Y564034

Attention: Technician

Condition:

Some customers may comment that little or no windshield washer solvent is coming from one or both washer nozzles.

Cause:

The placement of the hinge clip on the washer hose in relation to the inline connector between the hood and the main body hoses may cause the washer hose to be pinched in the hinge assembly when the hood is shut.

Correction:

Reposition the inline connector between the hood and main body hoses forward of the hinge clip.
